Glashytta i Setesdal (the Glass-studio of Setesdal) was established in the spring of 2000. Its sited in Bygland, close to the pier where the small steamboat D/B «Bjoren» docks, and the collected buildings of Bygland museum which is a part of Setesdalsmuseet.

The glass-objects on sale in the small shop has been handmade by the two owners and craftsmen designers, Inger Tone Homme and Tor Birger Egge. Egge is a master craftsman, with a long experience from Hadeland Glassverk, and Homme learned the craft in Sweden. They make the objects by hand and shabed by visual estimate, no machines or moulds are utilized in the process. Their products are different sizes of wineglasses, candlesticks, bowls, vases and dishes. Colours, engraving and sandblasting makes variations possible. It is also possible to place an order for instance for gifts for companies, prizes and private use.
