Mathews Range
Utsjånad
The Mathew's mountain range stands between Laikipia and Kenya's northern frontier. It is a pure wilderness area. It is a secluded haven to those who are lucky enough to visit the area with the forest being excellent for hiking through river line valleys and across streams led by the local Samburu people. The forest is full of life and bidders can be rewarded with sightings of turacos and rare narina trocons . It also has limited but luxurious accommodation. Some highlights include, walking safaris and trails, fauna and flora, rock pools, quad biking, Reteti elephant sanctuary, singing wells among others.
