Ithangune crater,Mt Kenya.
Ithangune crater is a stunning high altitude volcanic caldera located on the northern slopes of Mt Kenya in the county of Meru. It is the most famous for housing Lake Alice, which is the largest glacial and crater lake on Mount Kenya. Hiking on the Ithangune crater is a very exciting adventure. The high altitude is steep and challenging but offers explorers a unique experience. Along the route hikers are treated to ariel views of the landscape, including nearby Lake Rutunduand the Giant Billiard table, before reaching the rim to touch the waters of Lake Alice.
