Dini ya Msambwa

It is also called Religion of the Ancestors, an anti-colonial traditional religious and political movement founded in the early 1940s by Elijah Masinde among the Bukusu people of the Western Kenya. It blended indigenous African spirituality with biblical interpretations, rejected European colonial rule and encouraged a return of ancestral customs.
