Giriama Culture
The Giriama a sub group of the larger Mijikenda they inhabit the area of Mariakani and Kaloleni in Kilifi county. It should be noted the Mijikenda are also found in Coastal parts of Tanzania they include Digo sub tribe. They are commonly subsistence farmers planting crops and keeping animals. It is known as mixed farmingE.
Marriage is so sacred to them,the parents of the bridegroom look for the bride KUHASWA-traditional Giriama weddingKuhaswa,Malozi. A dowry which is something they negotiate until the reach an agreement. They have clans Thoya, Mweni, Nyale, NyundoCl. They are religius people. their God is called MulunguDini.
Samburu of Kenya
Samburu people are Nilotic found in North central part of Kenya. They are Nilotic ethnic group that speaks the Samburu dialect of the Maa language. this is spoken by Samburu and Maasai communities. The Samburu people are a religious people. They believe in Enkai they practice Monotheism they live in Samburu county.

Kauma of the Mijikenda group
Kauma are among the nine Mijikenda group MJ. They are little known in Kenya the well known tribe are the Giriama. They are among the smallest of the Mijikenda groupSM. Kauma are found in Nothern part of the Kenyan coast MJ.As other Mijikenda groups have Kaya they too have one. There are minerals and also logging which are affecting their Kaya shrines efforts have been put by the Kauma's to restore the lost and affected ones RVNG.
