Kiembethu tea farm is one of the oldest tea farms in Kenya. It is located outside Kenya's capital city, Nairobi. It was founded by British pioneer Arnold Butler McDonnell in the year 1910.He first tried coffee and corn, but the climate did not suit and then a friend brought tea seeds from India. The crop thrived and today his granddaughter Fiona Vernon runs the farm.
