These are the famous Mombasa elephant tusks that span the Moi avenue in the entrance to Mombasa town in the coastal province of Kenya. They were erected in 1952 to commemorate the British Royal family visit, that is Queen Elizabeth II visit. They are iconic aluminium arches located minutes from historical sites like Fort Jesus and the Old Town in the coastal province. The monument is under the jurisdiction of the National Museums of Kenya in addition to the city municipal government.
