A new global cultural preservation effort has been launched to protect a traditional Kenyan heritage. Specifically, a UNESCO initiative has stepped in to save Mursik the iconic fermented milk delicacy deeply rooted in the culture of the Kalenjin community from facing extinction. This intervention highlights the growing international urgency to safeguard unique indeginous culinary practices ,traditional knowledge and cultural identities that are increasingly threatened by modernization. By actively documenting and preserving the specific preparation techniques of this historic beverage ,the initiative aims to ensure that future generations can continue to celebrate and sustain their cultural legacy.
